These terms cover this website and the JBird demo. They are short because this site does one thing: it describes a product and lets you try a fictional copy of it. There are no accounts here, nothing to buy, and nothing to sign up for.
Who you are agreeing with
JBird is developed by Quality Management Veteran’s, Inc., a Delaware corporation operating in New York. “We” and “us” below mean that company. “The site” means jbirdqms.com and everything served from it, including the three demo pages.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use it — there is nothing here that requires you to.
The demo
The three demo organizations — Fairhaven Precision Aerospace, Kestrel Aerospace Supply and Calder Dynamics — are invented, and so is every record in them. Any resemblance to a real company is accidental.
Change anything you want. Nothing you type is saved, sent anywhere or seen by us; a refresh puts it all back. That is a property of how the demo is built, not a promise we are asking you to take on faith — the pages carry no storage and no server behind them.
The demo is provided so you can evaluate JBird. What you may not do with it:
Your browser downloads the application in order to run it. That is how a web page works and it is not a licence to keep, modify or redistribute what was downloaded.
Ownership
The JBird application, this site, its text, diagrams, screenshots and the demo data sets are the property of Quality Management Veteran’s, Inc. and are protected by copyright. The JBird name and logo are our trade marks. Nothing on this site transfers any of that to you.
You are welcome to quote a reasonable extract of the written guides with attribution and a link. You are not welcome to republish them wholesale.
AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, IA9100 and the 9100-series documents are published by SAE and the IAQG; ISO 9001 is published by ISO. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by any of them, we do not reproduce their text, and reading anything here is not a substitute for holding licensed copies of the standards you are certified to.
What this site is not
The guides here are written from practising aerospace audit experience and we work to keep them accurate, including saying plainly where sources disagree or where something is not yet known. They are still general information. They are not audit advice for your organization, not legal advice, and not a substitute for your registrar, who administers the timeline and the interpretation you will actually be assessed against.
Using JBird does not make an organization conformant to any standard and does not guarantee any certification outcome. A quality system is what you actually do; software holds the evidence of it.
The lawyerly part, kept short
The site and the demo are provided “as is”. JBird is in active development and we say so throughout; we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything on it will fit a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or the demo. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page changes with them. We may add, alter or withdraw anything on the site, including the demo, at any time.
