Very little, and none of it identifies you unless you choose to tell us who you are. This page says exactly what happens, in the order it happens.
The short version
No cookies. This site sets none at all, so there is no consent banner to click away.
Nothing is stored in your browser. No local storage, no session storage, no database.
If you fill in the contact form, we get what you typed, because that is the point of it.
If you don’t, all that exists is an anonymous, aggregated count of page views.
Just reading the site
We use Plausible to count page views, because we would like to know which pages are worth writing more of. Plausible is a paid, privacy-focused analytics service. By its published data policy it uses no cookies, no browser cache and no local storage, and it does not generate a persistent identifier — so it cannot follow you between sessions, devices or websites.
What it records for a page view: the page address, the referring site, and the browser, operating system, device type and country derived from your request. Your raw IP address and user-agent string are not stored; they are turned into a daily hash with a salt that is deleted and replaced every 24 hours.
On the demo pages we also record which module you open — the tab’s own name, nothing you type. That is the one thing a demo can tell us that matters: which parts of a quality system people actually go and look at.
The result is a count, not a profile. We cannot tell who you are, we cannot single you out, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is no identifier to delete.
Who else your browser talks to
Every font, stylesheet, script and image on this site is served from jbirdqms.com. The pages carry no advertising, no social widgets, no embedded video, no chat bubble, no tag manager and no third-party form.
The fonts used to load from Google, which sends a visitor’s IP address to Google on every page view. In September 2026 we moved them onto this domain so that no longer happens. The only external request any page makes is to Plausible.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which necessarily receives the network requests needed to serve you a page — that is what hosting is.
The demo
The demo organizations and every record in them are invented. You can edit anything, and none of it reaches us: the demo pages have no backend to send it to and write nothing to your browser’s storage. A refresh restores the original data.
This is checked when each demo page is built, not merely intended. The build refuses to produce a page whose code could save anything — because the banner on those pages makes the promise, and a promise in a banner ought to be enforced somewhere.
If you contact us
The walkthrough form asks for your name, company, email address and, optionally, a phone number, which standard applies to you, your organization’s size, and whatever you write in the message box. You choose what to put in it.
Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms and are stored in our Netlify account, on infrastructure located in the United States. We use them for one thing: to reply to you and to talk about whether JBird fits your organization. We do not sell them, share them, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
We keep an enquiry while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, and delete it when there is not. Ask us to delete yours at any time and we will, and tell you when it is done.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, the EU, or a US state with its own privacy law, you have rights over personal data we hold about you — to see it, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is used. Outside those places we will do the same thing anyway, because the alternative is silly.
In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is a contact-form submission you sent us. Write to ron@jbirdqms.com and we will tell you what we have and act on what you ask.
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes, and how to reach us
The date at the top is the date it was last revised. Adding anything that changes what this page says — a cookie, an embedded widget, a different analytics tool — means changing this page in the same breath.
