What the score means
A number out of a hundred is a useful way to see the shape of where you are — a working core with two gaps looks very different from a blank sheet, and both are worth knowing before you start. But a self-check is only as good as the answers you put into it, and a real certification audit tests evidence, not a checkbox. Treat this as a map, not a verdict.
What JBird does with the same clause structure is the next step down: its gap analysis walks every clause against your actual documents, processes and records, filtered to exactly the standards you've ticked, and tells you which specific clause has nothing recorded against it yet — the difference between “internal audit: partly” here and “9.2 has a programme but no evidence for two of your six processes” there.
Common questions
No. It is a self-check, scored from your own yes / partly / no answers at the level of each clause group. It is meant to orient you — to show roughly where your quality system already stands and where the gaps are — not to certify anything or replace a real gap analysis, which assesses every clause against your actual documents, processes and records.
Not necessarily. A large part of the aerospace supply chain runs through shops certified to ISO 9001 alone, which simply have to prove that a handful of things their customer's purchase order flows down — operational risk, counterfeit-part awareness, evidence a special process was approved — are under control. This tool lets you tick the aerospace standards only if one actually applies to you.
No. The whole assessment runs in your browser. Nothing is submitted, stored, emailed or sent to us or anyone else — there is no form to fill in and no account to create. Close the tab and it is gone.
Each question you answer counts as fully in place (yes), partly in place (partly) or not in place (no). Anything you mark “doesn't apply” is left out of the total, the same way a scoped-out clause is excluded from a real gap analysis. The overall figure is just the share of the applicable ground you've covered.
