Not yet. Twenty-three modules are built and working, but it's still in active development and we're working with a small number of pilot organizations before opening it up. If you want in early, the pilot program is the door.
Built: context, interested parties and scope; leadership and roles; risk, objectives and change management; people, training, infrastructure and calibration, organizational knowledge; documented information and retention; the quality manual; gap analysis; internal audit with the IAQG 9101 process matrix and PEAR; management review; and NCR/CAPA with root cause tools. Not yet built: the clause 8 operational family — operational planning, customer requirements, design and development, production, and product release. That's the current roadmap, and pilots help shape it.
No software certifies you — a registrar does, after auditing your organization. What JBird does is make sure that when the auditor asks for something, you can produce it, and that you know where your gaps are before they find them.
No. Most pilots come in with an existing manual, a process diagram and a pile of records. Setup is about getting what you already have into one structure, not rewriting your quality system.
Clause structure is data in JBird rather than something hard-coded, so a revision is a content update. When the final text lands we'll map your existing clause work forward instead of resetting your gap analysis. Anyone promising more detail than that before publication is guessing.
We're a software company, not a consultancy, and we don't audit our own customers. We'll happily point you toward people who do that work.
Your quality records are yours. JBird is a working prototype today, and the production hosting, access control and export story is exactly the kind of thing we want pilot organizations pushing on — particularly with IA9100 set to make information security a requirement rather than good practice. Ask us hard questions about it in the walkthrough; we'll give you the current state rather than a brochure answer.
